Don't you actually want to road test one before you release a "new to you " product? What is the preferd caster and camber #'s for your kit?

X2

What is the ride/handling like? Other products that are available have some road time and feed back as to the ride of the truck after the install.

Re: $550.00 Raised Crossmember Special!

The $700 kit sounds like a better deal then this kit.

The trans x-member, engine mounts, tie rod ends and hiems are worth more then $150.

Does this crossmember retain the stock suspension geometry?

Along with the geometry question

I remember reading that the Porter Built Drop Member, has a narrower track width, does this one too ???

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Another dang good example of why you guys should relax and let the vendors answer the questions on their own product.

I'm trying my best to give you guys friendly advice the nicest way I know how.

Shane is correct. If you are not Jason, or a "qualified" employee of SD DO NOT take on the responsibility of answering questions.

Re: $550.00 Raised Crossmember Special!

Not sure what the problem with my post was, you asked a question I clipped some info you asked for from the other thread and posted for you to see.

I guess I should have taken out the section that made it seem I was with SD. Not sure how that is being an ass.

I am not one to get into these pissing contest, just trying to help people get the info they asked for. I have no affiliation with SD.

Moderators, I can understand your point of letting the vendors answer their own question, but their are vendors that do not log on and check post for days, and it always seems to be the case that board members and moderators go out find the info from other threads and post it. Maybe the posting rules need to be updated to include this.

No I saw both of those, what confused me was a company Advertising new suspension parts before they have any possible kinks worked out. I under stand wanting to gauge the market before wanting to put out the money and time to build all the raised members but it just seams back wards to me. I have been around customs and Hot Rods my entire life and have seen this bite company's in the A$$ allot. I hope this does not happen here.

This DropMember and raised member is no different than what happened with the MII front ends when they first came out. We used to cut out factory cross members and use them in our rods (told you I've been around awhile) then the first "New cross member" was offered, then they started popping up everywhere you looked. The guys that did their home work and testing and then started selling them are Still out their and the other guys are who knows were now. My main concern is safety we are talking about suspension, steering and brakes lets just make sure it is 100% right before they start being sold.

That is true, and in most cases is just fine. Since there has been so much controversy recently I am encouraging everyone to let the appropriate parties be responsible for answering the questions.
