Finally went to the track.

Took the 64 to the track last night. It did a 1.57 60 ft 6.89 1/8 at 96mph letting out about 60 to 80 ft early. Thought it did well for an iron headed pump gas sbc on a 150 shot.

Re: Finally went to the track.

Yeah. A few guys I been running the streets with went so I tagged along. It showed me what I need to work on. I need more gear and I have been short shifting the truck by a good bit. I'll find the time slip and post it after dinner.

Re: Finally went to the track.

This was the first time I have gone on a pro tree so I slept pretty bad. The truck did well I think for its first time at the track.

Re: Finally went to the track.

Nice passes on only a 150 shot. And a 1.44 sixty is getting it done for sure. Congrats

Re: Finally went to the track.

More bottle pressure and 1/2 lbs less fuel pressure. Last week I had just under 900 in the bottle. This week I did 1050 and it hit much better.

Re: Finally went to the track.

Here is the time slip. I think there is a little more in it with tuning. I still need more gear as well. I hit 3rd at about 550 to 600ft.

Thanks. Still working on a few bugs. Once I feel I got it lined out I'll bump the kit up and see what she can do. I'd like a 6.3-6.4 once I pill it up to 250 and put more gear in it. Just put new tires on today. Was running M.T. 275 pro radials. Went to Hoosier Quick time Pro's 29x14.5

Any input on gear ratio I should look into? It's still the truck 12 bolt so I am limited on gear ratios. Am thinking of 4.56 but I do still drive the truck. Matter of fact I drove it home from the track Sunday.
