Dick Gulstrand is a genius. Typically its 4 holes to legendary, but the stamping is a bit different here.

Re: Someone say Gulstrand???

We went up with the upper.
2° camber change thru the travel.
Looks like you might have some undesirable camber changes

Re: Someone say Gulstrand???

It is slightly more then a regular Gulstrand mod, and close to the improved version.

Last time I did it. It worked pretty well.

The 2nd part of the Gulstrand mod is moving the Upper a arm back will be accomplished by moving the lower arm forward. As per the typical C10 way.

If not there is not mix up a grinder can't fix up.

Re: Someone say Gulstrand???

Why not just add a taller upper ball joint for the same effect?

With 1" narrowed arms (quicker angle change for more camber gain) and .50" taller upper ball joints my C10 had -1.6 degrees gain per inch of travel compared to -.86 per inch stock. You also gain camber when turning with a lot of caster so you may want to map out exactly how much camber gain you're getting to see if you actually need that much.

Mostly being cheap, and I love welding to get my mind off of Life's B.S.

As for the mod. I think of it as the icing on the cake of the traditional mod of moving the lower A arm forward. Needed no, but adds a little bit of confidence to the end off tire grip or your limits. What ever happens first.

I want to learn how to measure suspension gains one day. My uncle gave me a old kit he had for rebuilding rear ends. Which has the guage to measure the run out is it?

Plus I have another C20 crossmember I will mod, rebuild, and store for my future square body Suburban or crew cab. I need a matching pair. Come to think of it. I like pairs of other things too.
