If the motor is in the truck and could be started it might be worth more than if it was out. Also how many miles, what year. I had a guy price a 454 that has been under a tarp for at least a couple years, at $750.00. He said it was running. I didn't really care if it had, it would still have to be taken down and rebuilt. I might give him $250.00.

it's still in the truck. I just drove it the other day. it has around 50000 miles on the rebuild. I think that it's around a 1975 - 1978.

Thumbs up

I JUST SOLD ONE ON EBAY ABOUT 2 MONTHS AGO. IT WAS COMPLETE, HAD ABOUT 80000 MILES ON IT, & HAD A SPUN BEARING, BUT NO DAMAGE TO THE ROD,CRANK, OR BLOCK. IT SOLD FOR $750 & HAD TO BE SHIPPED FROM NEVADA TO GEORGA AT A COST OF $438 & THE GUY WAS EXTREEMLY HAPPY TO GET IT. IF YOU HAVE THE RECIPTS FROM THE REBUILD, IT'S PROBABLY WORTH AT LEAST TWICE THAT.

You see them in the paper here for about $900 to $1200 for a high mile rebuildable 454. Junkyards will charge $1400 or more for a running 454. Small blocks are a dime a dozen. Not so with big blocks.

I sold the running 160,000 mile 396 complete from carb to flywheel and accesories out of my '68 for $1000 after I bought the truck which incidentally was twice what I paid for the truck if that gives you any idea.
