Re: Let's See Your Garage / Workshop !!!

Thanks, wife and I waited a long time to be able to get back out to the country and be able to build this place.
Hopefully next step for the shop is a 2 post hoist, right were the truck is.

Re: Let's See Your Garage / Workshop !!!

Ha...well we have a small house. The front 50’ is shop and the back 50’ is cold storage with a dirt floor. Decided to upgrade with concrete and new doors this spring, so a cleaning out has been going on this week.

I can’t speak for Doug, but I absolutely love my Rotary lift! It and my big a$$ air compressor are the best parts of my new shop. Then the hvac is coming SOON!!!

Congrat’s Jcnally. That is a very nice looking place! The living space above the garage would be useful too. Any inside pics yet?

Thank you Doug. Really haven't touched the garage yet. I've been busy with some remodeling around the house. But this is the space above the garage when we bought it.

Re: Let's See Your Garage / Workshop !!!

I had this shop built in 2012. It has a 30x30 work area and the rest of the 50x50 building is storage. The overhang above the work area door is a wonderful thing in rainy weather. I saved barn/deck wood for 15 years from friends and family demo jobs to do the interior walls. I knew this dream would come true...now, it's too small. Time to dream some more (for an addition)!

My 40X45 and it's still not big enough. Going to put another car port on the right side 14 feet wide. Single post lift is in the left bay.

Re: Let's See Your Garage / Workshop !!!

Yep, we're at it again...
Back in 2015 we added an attached garage to the station that became a body shop and as business grew we realized that it was too small. ( see first 2 pics)

So this year we decided to build another shop out back to be the new and improved body shop. The old one can be used for mechanics and tear-downs and such.

Hopefully this will improve our efficiency by saving a lot of time we spent moving stuff around. (beginning of new shop last 2 pics).

Re: Let's See Your Garage / Workshop !!!

There are so many very cool shops/garages listed on this thread...I can in no way compete with any of them, but I figured I would show mine just because. My garage is just a simple 2 car garage (20 x 24), but I have 2 1/2 vehicles in it. I have the cab to my '68 C10, my '72 MGB, and the '76 Mini Cooper (which will be transformed to look more like a '64 Mini Cooper S.

The cabinets along the back I use for my workbench to work on antique electronics...mostly tube radios and associated test equipment from the 20s through the 50s.

Wow! An earlier MGB - mine is a '78 - and a new Chevy Truck - mine is a '65 - but, otherwise, we have very similar garage mates! (This is my old garage before I got a three car garage and got rid of 90% of the crap in my garage!)
