Re: Post pics of your Longbed Trucks!! No short stuffs allowed or wanted!!

This is why I love the long bed. You can put motorcycles and camping gear and firewood in it. This was my roadtrip from Colorado Springs to New Braunfels, Texas and back in March.

Re: Post pics of your Longbed Trucks!! No short stuffs allowed or wanted!!

Here’s a couple of my C20 from when I dragged it home. Wasn’t looking for a long box but it followed me home- as long as it’s a 3/4 ton it may as well be an 8’ box to haul it all in.
My daily is a late model heavy 3/4 with 8’ bed. Some of the new trucks have such ridiculously short beds that I can’t believe they are actually called pickups.
The 71 doesn’t look super different than it did here but I did just get the engine in so hopefully driving it will inspire me to get going on the exterior.

Another. To me a LWB 2WD is best simple, standard color scheme or some just solid. Can’t go wrong with Hugger.

Speak of solid 2wd long beautiful color. I hope you beat that.

So many nice trucks in this thread. Cursed the who cuts a LWB to Bud Light only for the balance of days This is my only LWB, 72 Super has seen much better, for starts the cab is naturally vented The block, which had at least one once over before is tired. Burns oil, doesn't stay clean long and I'm starting to feel a miss like distributor, but betting that's wishful. Was a beast in the day, had everything short 4WD. Bottom was light (medium) blue only.

Smile Re: Post pics of your Longbed Trucks!! No short stuffs allowed or wanted!!

Here is my '72 Cheyenne LWB I got in April (love my buddy seats)! She almost doesn't fit in my garage!! She is in the tailend of a complete SBC 350/TH350 rebuild and A/C repair at my brother's shop in East Texas. I can't wait until she returns to me. I haven't seen her since about May.

Parts at home are starting to queue up: Marker/Tail/Cargo/Headlight LED swap and getting a short'n Tilt column upgrade from 70shortfleet. LED Dash Lights and Add-Tach to gauges!

Short list tasks are PT700R4RV from phoenixtrans and somehow a gas tank relocate. Can't decide if I am going to tackle a radio before or after the gas tank relocate.

Re: Post pics of your Longbed Trucks!! No short stuffs allowed or wanted!!

I posted my truck in this thread ( # 76 ) not long after I bought it. Done lots of upgrades since and the biggest visibly one is changing the bench to plaid buckets and console. Still enjoying it and picked up a period correct cap for it but think I'm not gonna keep it.

Here’s my 69 long bed. After selling a pristine 71, decided to go the all mechanical/ no paint route. Blew this apart 4 yrs ago and just now got it back under its own power. This page is such a resource to us all, thanks to all the contributors.
