Question 700r4 to TH350 swap and keep NP241C?

Hoping someone on this side of the board can help me. I have a 700r4/241C combo in my 90 sierra. Can i replace the 700 with a turbo 350 and keep the 241c? I searched but found no responses. Thanks in advance.

Re: 700r4 to TH350 swap and keep NP241C?

I used to buy a kit at a local transmission shop that included a new output shaft and a cast aluminum spacer that allowed a th350 to go in the place of a 700r4,Im sure they still exist.I personally would just have a good 700r built,a lot of good parts are around today that weren't 15 years ago,you can get a tough one built for little if any more than it costs to build a 350 and buy the swap kit.

Thanks for the response bloertcher. I ask because my 350 is built a wee bit and honestly i only drive it once a month to get hay. Way i look at it it would never be cost effective enough to build the 700 since i rarely drive it. I think i'll google this swap and try n find that adapter.

I always bought mine at Ace transmission in springfield,mo.Like i said, the tailshaft in your trans has to be swapped out,but after that its a bolt up deal.

Doesn't sound too bad then. I found a kit that has the shaft, rear 4 bolt housing adapter and a few odds n ends for 200 shipped.

That sounds like the one I've always used.
