Anyone install chrome or staineless upper radiator hose?

I've seen some nice upper radiator hoses (not rubber) installed, I'm not sure if they are chrome or stainless.

I've read some reviews, and some brands are problematic, mostly the rubber adapters.

Anyone using these metal hoses for the upper radiator

I think the last time I used those was around 2008 on a different vehicle. Mine worked without issue at the time.

I tend to make my radiator hoses for my race cars/hot rods. I use 1 5/8 and 1 3/4 steel tubing and ceramic coat them.

I have run a ribbed stainless ( Mr. Gasket ) for my upper and heater hose for years no issues other then they do get hot to the touch

I have had some for over 15 years. I even reused it after I totaled the truck. Great to make a template out of if you want to go the hard line route above. Sure is nice to not have to search for the right rubber one. Goes around weird configurations as well.
