back up light housing and socket

so one back up light is bad- think it's the connector etc. I was 'smart' Ughh) enough to take the housing out and cut the wire. Now I'm not sure about the connector- it's a brass housing with a 'pin' stuck to the end of the wire that the bulb seems to push in. Must have been a spring- gone.... is there a diagram of the 52 year old junk I cut out- what I need in so far as what goes into the middle of that brass housing so that I may attach the green (back up) wire to it?

If the housing is in good useable condition, you can get a single contact repair pigtail "kit" from any parts store and probably a million internet vendors.. The "kit" contains a wire pigtail with the proper contact terminal on the end of it.. Also in the kit is a spring and a insulator disk that keeps the terminal in the center of the socket...
