I like Tuff Country Ez-Ride springs, that is what I have on my 69 K20. Is the blazer body in the background going back on this frame? Is it an optical illusion or is the body actually bent?

i was also lookin at the tuff counrty! are you using the 52" or 56 " springs, and or shackle flip? the black blazer is for parts only, it sure is bent. lol

I'm using the stock length 6" springs on the front of my 69 K20 with the extra spring that they put in to make it a heavy duty pack. For the rear I'm using my stock springs with a couple extra springs added, with the stock block and ORD's 4" shackle flip. Be aware the shackle flip will move your axle forward which makes the tire very close to the front edge of the wheel well and makes it look very uncentered. A Zero-Rate with offset center pin can help correct that problem.

On my 70 K5 I am running 4" Skyjacker front springs and stock rear springs with a 3" block and custom spring mounts built for the 14 bolt that I installed.

I like the Tuff Country springs better ride wise compared to the Skyjacker springs but honestly, they both are fairly bouncing depending on the road surface. No Cadillac ride for sure.

Cool... I'm having problems adjust the doors. I have to put about 6-7 shims in the latch to get it even come close the closing. I need to put a post about it to see if anyone has a solution..

Agreed. Don't go cheap or sacrifice safety with all of this work nice work you are doing Take the time to swap in a set of 8 lug axles if you want to run those wheels.

4 inch tuff country..it is pretty simple to do if you have a good set of tools. i had to heat my spring bolts in the front hangers, so you might need a torch also..

did the kit require you to reset the angle of the rear pinion or did it include blocks that took care of that? also are you using stock driveshafts or somethign with better u-joints?

the rear blocks are angled to compensate. stock drive shafts look like they will be fine. i will not be doing any major off roading.

gotcha, so its a front spring, rear block lift? any other issues you ran into? sorry to be nosey, i'm an engineer and a farm so I like to do things right going into them.

Nice progress, out of curiosity why did you paint the chassis before doing the body work, I just figured with all the welding, grinding, primering and painting the freshly painted frame would be bound to get a little dirty. Not knocking you by any means, just wondering.

Not sure if they all have this but on my left front spring hanger there is a brace welded underneath . I had to cut the welds and bend this down to allow the new front spring!
