You only need to worry about the rim width and the offset to make sure they will not stick out too far or be tucked in too far.... After that the tire size will tell you everything you need to know.

just convert the metric sizing to floation.

305 is the width in MM equals a 12" cross section, or tread width.

aspect ratio means the sidewall height is 55" of the width or 6.6".

Since you've got a sidewall on either side of the rim then you've got 13.2" of sidewall plus 20" of rim so it works out to a 33" tire.
