Exclamation air ride parts

hey every one new here but i have built a ton of bagged trucks and here is the list of parts i recomend
1. GC valves they are 35$ for 1/2 inch and they are very big i have never busted one and on my s10 i run 300PSI and no probs or BLACK MAX "air kings"
they are about the same as GC but i have busted the guts out of one or two of them
2. OASIS air compressors i have a 3000 on my s10 and it is as good as having engin driven or nitrogen mine fills my 8gal tank 0-200psi in 33seconds and 200-300 in about 15 more seconds... PISS ON VIAIR they are the worst compressor i have ever had IF you dont have the cash to spend on a oasis though AZ is ok i dont like them that much though they are 2 slow or you can convert you ac compressor with some propain fittings and a few reducers but you will need to buy a inline oiler from suicide doors but this will only work with the old style compressors.
3. Slam Specialties or Contitech 3 bell are awsom! i run 300 psi to my slams and have not busted one they are about 2years old now. every firestone bag i have ever had was a pile of junk the tear away from the top plate within a year
4. the best link i own is my suicide doors Universal Wishbone Kit i have this on my c10 and on one of my s10s i have a Roadgrater by AirRideTechnologies
and i am cutting it out and putting in the suicide doors Super Llift Wishbone
my cuz is gonna run the roadgrater on his sdime
5. if you need any parts order them from suicide doors i also use Godfater customs but only for small parts i need quick cuz i live close to them. I HATE FBI there is only one person there that is even cool and will help you if you are doing a custom build also it takes forever to get sh**T from them ughh
6.Quick fittings are great!!! a lot of people hate them but if you do it right you will not have any probs with them just rember the air line has got to be straight in a line with the fitting or it will leak all you need is some pipe straps or zip ties the only time i use DOT line like this is if i am not going over 250psi i have ran 300 on dot line and it has not busted but i dont try to keep it there if you are gonne run that high run copper hard lines, and use the dot to clip into the front bags it is easy to get in the a arm and install that way
7. and NEVER USE A WELDING MACHINE YOU CAN BUY AT WALMART! people come to my shop all day with hacked ass frames they did there self with a welding machine that will only burn the surface of what they are welding nor do they even know the theroy of how to run a beed i am a pipe fitter by trade that is how i got into trucks guys would ask me to weld things in and i would any way allways if you do have a good welding machine<<< miller cough>>> make shure when you weld you are using the right wire or stick i use 70/18 rods and depending on the frame that is how i decide what wire or stick to run if you are welding push the puddel away from the way you are going NEVER DRAG IT on a notch or any thing that needs to be strong if you drag it you should just get out you soddering iron and do it that way cuz its the same thing i dont mean to sould like a dick but you get what you pay for and if you half ass sh*t it makes things dangrous.
also if you are lazy or you dont want to take your a arms all the way apart you can back the castel nut all the way loose to where it allmost come off and you can shimmy bag cuys into the a arms no prob. also if you have a s10 you dont gotta cut the frame in the front if you wanna keep the truck and sell it one day with the stock suspension you can use Slam Specialties RE 200 and they will fit with out cutting or rubbing you will need to remove the bumpstop though also it will not lay frame like this unless you got a small rim.
if any one needs help with a bag job just let me know i will be more than happy to help

Re: air ride parts

i've heard nothing but good things about Viair, why the issue with them? Just too slow for you? I just bought dual 380 viairs and am wondering if i should put them back up for sale.

Re: air ride parts

schic...i just sent you an IM but I figure i might as well post it....because it could help someone with the same questions as I have....

I am trying to figure out what all I need. I want to be on the ground....You have some of the components...but what you posted in your thread isn't everything you need....is it? I don't know alot about baggin cars ( I will have someone helping me with the install who is good with it)

If I get the following...do I need anything else....

I am looking at 2 kits:

http://www.jpkustoms.com/catalog/com...35dc94223fb2de

and

http://www.*****************/AutoPilo...entSystem.php#

If I get the Kit plus the following am I good to go?

C-notch
Drop Spindles w/disk breaks
Bag Brackets

Any info you give me would be great!

Thanks
Justin

P.S..

Re: air ride parts

nah your VIAIRS are ok me its just i have not had many good outcomes with them they burn up to easy for me if you dont over use them they are ok lil compressors its just i like being to where if i need air i dont need to worry with the compressor overheating also when you call viair for help or parts no one there speaks english its some dude in dubi

2. if you want your c10 to lay out here is what you will need... well here is what i pefer but that is not saying this is the best way to go i have just had the best luck with these parts i drag every day
the first kit your looking at
http://www.jpkustoms.com/catalog/com...35dc94223fb2de
is good all but the compressor they suck that is one that will over heat just filling the tank a guy i know has this kit and the compressor burned up in a week
http://www.*****************/AutoPilo...entSystem.php#
the other one does not have enough of what you need this one is just to manage air

1. 3'' drop spindle

2. front bracket kit http://www.*****************/67-87Ful...rtBrackets.php

3.Wish bone link kit super easy to install and looks good and if you run the wishbone backwards you dont need a panhard bar <HINT> http://www.*****************/UniversalWishboneKit.php

4. notch you will save your self a load of headachs with this notch it fits perfect http://www.*****************/67-72Ful...yStepNotch.php

5.Rear bag brackets
http://www.*****************/RearUppe...SinglePort.php

6.steel tube to brace your notch and rear bag any of these will work great depending on the size you need bracketshttp://www.*****************/SteelTubing.php

7. AIR BAGS <DUH> use a like 2600 in the front and i like to use a 3bell in the rear of a c10 for mad lift the one i am building now will have 3 bells i will post some pics
http://www.*****************/AirbagsSlamSpecialties.php FRONT
http://www.*****************/Contitec...SinglePort.php REAR if you can do it

8. quick fittings
http://www.*****************/FittingsMaleElbow.php 4 for your single port bags depending on size

9. these for your tank http://www.*****************/FittingsMaleConnector.php

10. GC Valves 1800 295 1101 OR GODFATHER CUSTOMS CHEEP! 35$ for 1/2" last forever

11. compressor this is the list of my favs

1
.http://www.*****************/AirManag...ressorKits.php

2.http://www.*****************/OasisXD4000200PSI.php

3.http://www.*****************/AirZenith200PSISilver.php

12. AIR LINE http://www.*****************/AirLine(DOT).php

13. switch box http://www.*****************/AirManag...witchBoxes.php

14.gauge or you can go dig but they are off a lil the manual gauges are better http://www.*****************/AirManagementAirGauges.php

15. and a tank dont go over board with a tank if you have a small compressor 8gal is more than enough your compressor will need to work harder to fill more space now if you have a big compressor more size more play time http://www.*****************/AirManagementAirtanks.php

and i have never put a pair of shocks back on a air ride job it dont get smother that air so dont waist your cash on shock mounts or drop shocks its a waist of money and your bags will be slower... hope this is some help let me know if you need any thing else i will try to put a kit togeather and post the link sry about spelling in a rush

Re: air ride parts

i am not recommending that psi i am just saying that is what i run i have never had any problems with my setup nor with any other i have done i just saw some people on here aksing about what are good parts and i was just saying what i think are good i am not saying one way or the other its just that some of the people asking about parts may want to know there are people that do run shockless. and what parts some people like i have a good freind with shocks on his set up and that works for him but i just dont see the point in adding them and i am being serious and how am i a numb skull for trying to give people some help with parts i thought a fourm was to help people? its too bad that some one will give you Sh*t for saying waht they like or dont like.
this is one of my s10s with over 200 psi WITH OUT SHOCKS laying on 22s

Re: air ride parts

Just my .02 I run my C-10 with 80 psi in the front and 40 in the rear with shocks on all 4 corners.. My buddy owns a shop that does a ton of air ride stuff on high end show cars the get the snot kicked out of them when we drive them www.goprorides.com They run shocks on every car they build with air and the pressures we run in those cars while rolling down the road are close to what I run in my C-10... I guess its all in what your looking for... I dont want my truck jumping off the ground when I air up.. I had a few lowriders I built back in the day that would bounce off the rear bumper when hopping.. I'm way over that phase of my life...Lol..

this one has no shocks

this one also

I dont think anyone was giving you a hard time, it sounds that they were more curious than anything. I just finished installing a complete air ride set-up, and I have also never heard of running without shocks. I watched your videos and it looks like your goal for air ride is different than most on this board. In my situation I was just looking for great ride quality and the ability to adjust the ride height when needed.

Dont shocks also help with the rebound of the springs, not just the compression? I guess if your looking for immediate fast responses when airing out or raising your vehicle shocks would slow it down. I would think that shocks would help a lot with the rebound. When looking at ride quality, I cannot see in any apllication where shocks would hurt, only help. But this is also someone who has never drivin an air ride vehicle. I have ridden in a few, but don't have anything to compare them too.

By the way nice truck

i just want to help with what i know about bags i had one of the first sets you could buy in the bags had one bell and they sucked i used a stock lincon compressor for them and when that went i would fill up at my shop untill i found the firestone compressor i have destroyed a bunch on my own trucks to know better know on what works and what dont
