Re: Father and Son 50s

A couple little updates... Got my truck in primer, and will have my runningboards finally on tuesday. Got the exhaust all built and done. Got my power steering lines fixed(leak) and now the power steering works and is complete.

Was hoping to get the truck in the booth next weekend but the wife and I decided to go to the portland roadster show instead. I guess the paint can wait a week more.

Re: Father and Son 50s

Just looking back at some of your earlier pic's trying to gain knowledge and ideas for my set up...

I am looking at your brake reservoir and wondering how you plan to get access to it once your cab is on?

Re: Father and Son 50s

Hope the previous owner does not mind but after 4 years of sitting around in someone's garage I ended up purchasing this truck about 4 months ago ! Can't wait to bring this truck to the level it was headed for ... Currently in the process of redoing much of the rear chassis work will start my own thread after that is complete !!!!

Re: Father and Son 50s

I should be getting the truck back from the chassis shop in the next week or so waiting on the accuair exo mount for final clearances to button things up so no pictures of that progress until i visit the shop but when it returns i plan on moving quickly on this thing!!!

Here is the direction I am gonna take the truck ... I am unfortunately not a fan of orange

^^ That is not my rendering just for an idea^^ Cyber Grey Metallic is the color im leaning towards

off to the chassis shop

I am super excited to get rolling on this thing!!

Re: Father and Son 50s

Ogre . There redoing the entire backhalf from the cab back ... Doing all round tube. Installing the 9 inch and building a 4 link for it ... Remounting the fuel cell/ making all the mounts for the new accuair setup etc .. It's taking longer then expected but will be well worth it!

Re: Father and Son 50s

I am currently looking into what type of seats i want to run.. i definitely want to do buckets but cant really decide on a style shape etc. anyone have pics of different styles in the truck. hard to picture might just go with something simple like this

http://www.jegs.com/i/Bestop/025/39429-01/10002/-1

and have them reupholstered but then again id love to find a deal on some nice power/leather seats
