Will intake still work

Was checking catalogs today getting part #'s for everything I neeed. Noticed two different intake gaskets for rectangle ports with or without upper bolts. This is my first set of rect port heads and did not know there was a difference. After looking, my heads do not have the upper bolts, but my intake does. Can I still use the intake manifold. If so do I need to do anything special?

Re: Will intake still work

If your talking the 4 bolts in the center of the runners then yes you should be fine. Alot of larger single plane manifolds such as the Victor jr. don't have those holes and your aftermarket heads are likely set up for one of those manifolds. A better question would be are the heads too big for your application if your building a motor around a lower flowing intake (I assume because it has those bolts) and what about the cam and compression, can they support those heads?
