WTB: tinted windshield 64 65 66

Hoping to find a NICE tinted windshield for a new project. Am I dreaming, or what? Anyone?

Re: WTB: tinted windshield 64 65 66

I bought one new, and it was only $125. Brand new PPG windshield. Granted it only has the strip across the top, but having it tinted should not be that much.

Yep, windshields are available for most vintage vehicles. It's side/back glass that is hard to come by...

If you have the right insurance, you can get it replaced for free.

Re: WTB: tinted windshield 64 65 66

I'd prefer orig LOF e-z-eye glass. No way I could live with the dark band at the top of newer tinted glass. Putting a light green tint on newer clear glass might be a last resort, if finding decent OE stuff isn't possible.

I should have pulled the glass out of that longbed factory ac truck I sold. It was green and still had the original windshield in it with no chips.

Still new to this old truck thing, is this what your looking for? This is from my 66 C20. Not saying this one is for sale yet.

Sure looks like it. Does it have the LOF E Z eye mark on it? lower pass side corner, I think.

A little windex works wonders. Here is what I found. It says soft ray, safety plate, LOF, ASI, A7, laminated, M9.

Bingo! How's it's condition? If you decide to sell, let me know. Then we'll figure if it can be shipped safely without breaking the bank. Thanks for posting.
Anyone else?

Try pilkington glass they bought out lof in 1986 . They do have a classic restoration line where the can install the codes and dates for the truck you need . It might be pricey . But you can give them a try

Great condition, I never listed it because of the shipping concern.

If you decided to sell and we agreed on a price, I could build a crate and send it to you. You just insert the glass, refill with supplied foam popcorn, and send it back. Sound ok?

Re: WTB: tinted windshield 64 65 66

I replaced my 65 windshield at a local glass shop here in OK and it was about $125. The entire windshield is tinted and does not have the dark green strip across the top. Looks great.

Re: WTB: tinted windshield 64 65 66

Thanks, I'll look into that. Another member suggested a "restoration" quality product line as well. I'll post what I find if it's worthwhile. Cheers!
