Lightbulb Like new '87 Dually

1987 Chevrolet Dually, authentic 23,000 mile truck.
454 T.B.I.
Absolutely the cleanest 1987 truck you will find at any price.
The only flaw is the standard droopy headliner, which I can have repaired or leave as is.
Grant removable security steering wheel.
All options, PW, TW, PL, A/C factory seek/scan cassete radio
X-Tang tonneau cover
New rubber and shocks, hoses and belts, all else is original.
I am fairly sure I was the first guy to drive it in rain....
Originally delivered new at Earnhardt Chevrolet in Aurora, MO.

$11,000 or offers accepted
e-mail for pics or more details

BigRed, i found them, and started to post it, but got kicked off. still, a misleading post at that.

also, isnt there some rule about having to have a certain number of posts before you post something for sale?

Ok, just wanted to clarify.

I don't think there's a certain amount of posts you are required to have before posting a for sale item. If there is, I'm not sure they enforce it.

Gee, sorry, I didn't see anything in the rules about posting items for sale, other than don't do it unless you are willing to price it.

I do however think that there was something in there about not being a buttmunch and posting simply to be argumentative.

The truck was delivered from Earnhardt Chevrolet in Aurora, MO.
The documentation supports that fact.

I never said a word about Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet in N.C.
DUHHHHHHHH

So if someone would like to move this post to the proper area, I wouldn't be offended.

If $11,000 is too much for ANY Dually with 23,000 miles in today's market, you need to crawl back into your hole and find some reality.

If you are however interested in buying a "new" 1987 Dually, just e-mail me.......Standard cab, Camper Special by the way, and Red.

The pictures are apparently too large to post here, e-mail works well for those with computers.......

Thanks.

Jeremy, I am interested in what it was you found to be "misleading".......

I can see now I have stepped into an episode of Beavis and Butthead, although rather poorly executed........

goob- knowing better parental controls on computers would cut down on message board spammers......

Goob, for a guy with 6 posts, you're throwing out an awful lot. when you said "Earnhardt Chevrolet" i immediately thought Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet, as that is the FAMOUS Earnhardt Chevrolet. you mentioned MO, so i investigated. i would've simply edited my original post, but it had already been replied to so i let it ride and put out another to correct it.

as for the minimum posts,i could be getting mixed up, as i am a member of several truck boards. posts like yours, in response to mine, arent a good way to make friends on a board. this in turn doesnt make it any easier for a potential buyer to make a choice to buy a truck over the internet.

BTW, that's a very good looking truck. i wish you luck in selling it.

Jeremy, as a member of several truck boards, and with 440 posts on this one, I would hope that some of your posts have something of more relevance than a correction of your own incorrect assumption, at the expense of mucking up my ad.

Imagine being someone that was truly interested in a pristine truck such as I have advertised, and missing it because some Yahoo flamer couldn't stand to read without adding inflamatory and irrelevant commentary, again, on the basis of their own incorrect assumption.

I never mentioned Dale Earnhardt, or North Carolina, but I do find the origin of a vehicle to be of some interest to most buyers, especially of a vehicle such as this one.

The truck IS what I said it is, no more, no less, and I would think that the purpose of a message board such as this one is to bring information on vehicles like this to enthusiasts of a very specific interest in such.

If my ad has clogged up your truck enthusiast message board beyond the "rules" and/or the terms of use that I read during signing in, please have an administrator remove it.

The 1973-1987 Chevrolet & GMC Pickups Parts Board > is what it says on top of the page.....

This is the correct area for a classified ad?

I didn't post it to simply read compliments or make friends, the truck is paid for, and I really don't care if I sell it or not, but if I do, I would hope for it to be sold to someone that it is appreciative of the value of such a find.

I bought it simply because it served my immediate need, and is in such pristine condition, with good history, although it is not exactly what I was looking for. That is why it is offered for sale at this time.

Trades for a crew-cab Dually or well equipped single wheel truck would be considered. I like to take my dog with me, and the standard cab is a little tight for myself, my girlfriend, and 115# of Black Lab.

I'm sorry you misinterpreted my ad, and that others have had to read this near pee'ing match.

Thanks,
Dave Cook

LMFAO!!! Way to lay the smack down Goob! Settle down Jeremy, just because you ASSumed Dale Earnhardt, doesn't mean that's what Goob meant. Damn, let the man sell his truck in peace.

Thanks Greg........sorry for the disturbance folks, just thought someone here might be interested in that truck......

I have had to browse the site for more interesting content from my Northern Hoosier friend........seems to all be the same.

In case you haven't figured it out, I have been flamed by the best of the message board yahoos.......no damage yet.

And I won't be stooping to that level anytime soon.....

In Jeremy's defense that wasn't really flaming, we all give each other a hard time on here. Just usually give the n00bs a chance to get settled in before they get theirs. Do you have any other 73-87s you're working on?

Yeah, I guess it's like getting initiated, no problem here with it....
Sorry if I was quick to bow up in my replies.

On the 73-87's, this is the only one I have ever owned, I'm just a dumb old bracket racer that got in a pinch for a truck to pull a new enclosed trailer with late last season for some out of town races I had to get to.....it only had 20,007 miles on it when I picked it up.
I purchased the truck from another local racer, who purchased it from the racer that bought it new in Missouri. (spell?)
Neither of those guys race the schedule I do......I usually log 500 miles a weekend getting to sometimes 3 tracks in the weekend, about 30 weeks a season......
I hate to really use this truck, just because it is such a nice one.

goob, nice truck! and as a hobbyist at 73-87's for 15+ years i would say you are in the ballpark for an 23 Ktruck. i saw a regular longbed at Carlisle last year with 18K miles and the idiot wanted $23,000 and that was with fender skirts . as far as making friends here goes don't sweat it . friends are overated . I can't afford the ones I have :-) . just keep within the guidlines. DAVE

Dayum that is a nice lookin ride! As far as the $$$ I really dont know if its worth it ...but Im sure to some it is. It does appear to be SUPER clean which is rare when people say low mileage great condition....well you probably know its usually not. But in this case it appears to be well worth the asking price to someone looking to buy something that clean and original.

Good luck and keep us updated on it.

Thanks for the kind words........
Truck is still available.

I figure it's hard to find any 2wd Dually for $11K, that is in any reasonable condition......
