Its looks as though I have lost a plug wire....Truck is running terrible like its on 7/6 cylinders. I have a small cut in one of the plug wires so when it gets hot..under a load it just wont go. I think its arcing out to the header

None of the above! You need the borg-warner "nascar" series wires. EXELLENT STUFF!!!! They take heat like no other [i mean they have sat on my exaust manifolds before, not even a black mark] and according to one of the guys on chevytalk, offer less resistanst then accel [anybody can do that!

I have MSD 8.5 wires and they rock. I noticed a difference immediately. Yes, I have a MSD ingntion that was previously running through some parts store 7mms, but still it was very noticable.

I voted for the Taylors. I have never bought the MSD but I am sure they are good too. The Taylor come with plenty or wires that you can cut to your own length and route how ever you want. They come with different types of boots (enough to each all the way around) and they look great and are available in many colors. I have had them on for awhile now with out any problems, although I do not let them sit on the exhuast manifolds

Is the MSD kit similar to the Taylor? Because if so I might give them a try next time around. Are they available in different colors? I have red ones now and I like how they look.

i like the taylors. i have the spiro pros on mine and a couple of the boots are about a milimeter away from the headers and it dosne't bother them.

I get em at checkers auto parts. They are the secret weapon of the poor people. Awsome performance, great price! [like $30 a set]
Only problems is they are not custom fit. I think I need that for my next set.

Somehow I dont think that I trust a set of 30 wires....from Checker....and I would have to see it to believe it to see them not melt on a manifold!! lol I had a taylor melt through a protective boot.

Dave, I will never touch a MSD wire again as long as I can get borg-warners. Thats how much I trust em. I hated my MSD's. They melted threw when they hit my manifold after about 30 seconds. I mean all the way threw melting too. But hey, dont take my word for it, try it yourself. Its only $30

I talked to Ignitionman about this before and he said stick with the Taylor's or MSD or any good brand name. I've seen a setup that shows the resistance on all the larger brand wires. I've even swapped the wires around from post to post to see which is best and MSD was least resistance every time.

It's too late to vote, but I have MSD wires and love them. MSD wires is lowest on the scale in resistence. I won't use anything else. I find it real hard to believe you can let any wire lay on a header and not burn it. Not, by any means calling anyone a lier, but I would have to see that in person.

I have Taylor wires on my 96 T/A with a MSD6AL box, man it sure mad a big diffrence. I have no complaints at ll about the wires. Since They were put on at the same time I cant say which one was made the most diffrence.

I bought the MSD 8.5mm wires along with the MSD pro billet distributor. The wires and the distributor made a big difference. Phoenix the MSD kit sounds like it was similar to your Talylor wires. It had plenty of boots and a few extra wires, they were also a piece of cake to put together. I love the way they look heres a pic.

I would have said to go with the Taylor's, that's what I used and I have no complaints. I think you'd be happy with either the MSD's or the Taylor's. I haven't used MSD's but if I were up to buy another set I think I'd just have to look and see what was on sale between those 2 brands and go from there. And BTW Dave, I don't mind if you post 20x, just don't show us a pic of "the toe", you're little icon there gives me nightmares as it is....
