84' Chevy stereo options

My stock radio doesn't work well so after I get my truck out of paint I want to start on my audio system. I'm going with an original style radio that has outputs for an iPod / smart phone hook up. I want to replace all the speakers in the truck and install a 2-10" speaker set up with an amp. I did several audio systems when I was younger but hadn't messed with this kind of stuff in 15 years. What is everyone's suggestions?

Depends on what you want for sound. This stuff is in an 84 GMC truck.

Yep, two bazooka tubes firing into each other with a cap over the top of them, driving the bass under the seat to the lower part of the cab

Re: 84' Chevy stereo options

I am a 6' tall heavy set fellow. I shaped (gave the springs a concave shape) the springs in the seat back to follow around the tubes, so the seat back is just off of the back wall of the truck. I sit close to the whell, but I still have room to drive comfortably. I have had this truck on more than one Hot Rod Power Tour for the long haul.
