What is involved in swapping from drums to disc........anything hidden ??

I am creating a frankenstein truck. What do I have to change to swap 3/4 drum brakes to 1 ton discs ???? I'm told the booster is different and that I will need a proportioning valve. Are all prop valves the same for all size discs and calipers ? I already have the uprights, hubs and calipers. Thanks for the input.

wbmoore, this is also one of those questions that get asked quite often. If there was a tech section of this board you could go there.
Did you try a search?

A tech section would be too cool, you could look up those pesky things you didn't need when you first read a post and forgot enough to be unsure about it.
