possible to change 72 doors so window cranks and handle dont stick out?

i dont think i want to run 72 door panels, and who cares bout originality im already putting a 67 clip on.

my trucks a 72 so the window cranks and interior door handles stick out that bit extra. whats it take to change the window regulator and handle so it doesnt stick out? how much does this cost?

i think i may just trade my 72 doors (w/ the one piece window setup, but the bottoms are cut for 6x9s) for some stock 67-71 doors with vent windows (i dont have a/c and im in cali so i want the lil vent windows to open while driving.

You can swap the window and latch mechanisms from a earlier door (67-71) into your 72 door or swap the whole door , dosen't really matter. Swapping the guts can be done with not too much difficulty.

Here is the setup I'm gonna to attempt tp be using - the way it mounts you actually cut-off part of the regulator shaft. Then after I fab up some door panels and such, you shouldn't even be able to tell there is anything there.
