?? on upper & lower control arms

Does anybody know if the lower control arms will fit later model years like a 1981. As somebody has a set of lowering control arms from a 70 1/2 ton and i have a 81 1/2 ton will they work if i use the later year ball joint.

Well, you can use the 81 control arms on a 70 so I see no reason you can't do the opposite. Like you mentioned, the ball joints are different and you would have to put the 81 joints in the 70 arms. Maybe someone that has done this would know for sure, but I am very confident that it will work.

Swap to the correct ball joint and install them. They interchange.

Re: ?? on upper & lower control arms

Remember the 70 arms will have the steel bushings instead of the rubber bushings like you have in your 81 arms. Other than that,... they will work with a balljoint swap.
