Sorry to read about another case of Paint jail. On the bright side, the bed looks great! :metal:
I love these trucks with stock trim, it really pops.
Hope you get the rest of it done soon:chevy:

Any update on the build. This thing is looking good! I've been struggling to pick a paint color, I like cyber gray but it's too blue in the sun. Do you happen to know the actual color code for this Gray?

Thanks

Funny you mention that cause that's exactly why I didn't go cyber gray. I looked at every gray with a sun gun and this one truly looked gray the whole time. The painter said there is a lot of purple in it but I don't see it. I do have the code I will post it

Ok thank you. When I decided to paint my truck grey I didn't realize how hard it'd be to find a grey I really liked.

I put it on Craigslist from years of frustration but no serious interest. Not sure if good or bad but I went up today and he's working on the cab. Hoping to get back on this soon if he follows through

Man what a bummer. The color looks absolutely amazing.

Every paint shop is the same story... super excited and motivated to get the job almost greatful for the business then after a week of work they shove it to a corner and start with the unacceptable excuses and place the time delay on the customer. Why can't these shops run like profitable business should be run. I've worked in a few body shops and do my own paint and body for myself and never felt it was fair for the customer.

I could not agree with your statement more. It's unfortunate and far too common of a story with anyone I talk to

There's just no good reason that I can think of to keep your stuff in their shop that long without working on it. That's a very unreasonable amount of time. Their bread and butter must be collision work. Are you contracted with them?

So, let me understand this...you posted on 11-10-2014, 11:02 PM that the call had come thru and the painter was ready to start and had promised it by early new year?

As it is now 9/29/2017, there is only one option open to you...report the theft of your truck by the painter...and haul his a$$ in to court...

Have you even seen the truck since you dropped it off at the painters?

Do you have engine and chassis numbers for the truck?

"Painters Jail " will take on a new meaning after this...you do realize its been nearly three years?

Hell, I've built three trucks in that time...and painted each...
