:( Andy buddy, am I that forgetable? The black 67 Chevy was mine. Ah well, with all the good times going on, I forgot quite a few names also. I got pics, but my computr won't open the disc the ole woman made gotta check with her this afternoon after work and find out what happened. There were 3 shortbeds there. Didn't you see the yellow 69 Chevy behind mine? Will post more pics later. (I hope)

And a good time was had by all~~~~. Great to see so many members and trucks. Especially interesting to see a original camper and extended cab----. Unfortunately the storms the night before, a 2 hour delay for a wreck on I71, and dropping off a SWB frame for Adam in Cinci made my trip up longer then anticipated but it was well worth it. Always interesting to see variations on trucks---like we all looked at Jewels truck with the loverd hood and the engine placement somewhat forward then usual only to figure out the mounts were revesed left to right. You wind up with about 8 " between the firewall and the dist!! Did manage a bit of a burnout upon exiting and the most surprizing thing is the trans is still there!!!!
Many thanks to all for their friendship and to Mike and family for their hospitality.
Next Ohio groupie opportunity will be at the Springfield Swap meet Sept 5-7. Look for Jamie and Hucks slightly used truck parts featuring the FIRST and only free advice booth with Renee providing that!!
With any luck, I will have the 2nd annual Kentucky board meet come late Sept or October with me as the host.
:D

Looks like an awesome time!

lux hauler 08-04-2003 09:37 AM

Glad y'all had fun!!
I just wish I would have been able to stop. I did think about you all when I passed the Urbana exit on my way to Dayton. I even mentioned the meet to the guy that was with me as we went by.

BTW....the Brickyard 400 was way cool!!

What a blast! Thanks Mike and Rhonda, had a real good time!! What a great bunch of members to meet up with. I should've taken more pics but was caught up in the excitement of the moment.

Here's Big Blue in the caravan heading up I-75. People waving and thumbs up the whole way!!

Fine69 has an awsome shop, kinda like a museum of nostalgic stuff inside not to mention all the tools. And a big dog!

Just a few of the motley crew in attendance, Longhornmail, Jewels and LonghornJeff

did jewels make it home? With the new found power, and shifting and steering I hope she can handle that beast home.

fine69 08-04-2003 02:47 PM

Yes Jewels made it home. She said it was like driving a new truck. She couldnt believe it.

Woody 08-04-2003 03:19 PM

Real Sorry I missed this. We were returning from a family vacation and even though we passed near by (I-71) I couldn't get over there. We had been away from home for over a week so everyone wanted to get home. Thought about turning around and going back up Sat. afternoon but North bound I75 from the Ohio River south was backed up for 4 or 5 miles stopped!!

Fine69......My doors still there??? Wish I could have made it.

gr8scott51 08-04-2003 03:30 PM

when?

So when do we hear the whole diesel story from Jewels? Everybody says, "We'll let Jewels tell that one."

Longhorn Man 08-04-2003 03:31 PM

Why did I forget the yellow step side? I can't figure that one out. Oh well. So shorties and Longhorns were even one for one...that is still interesting.
It looks like Rob way trying to bust me on something here. Did you photoshop that grease onto my hands? I KNOW I wasn't using the dog as a shop rag. ;)
