What clutch master-cylinder are you guys using for T56 trans

I am finally at the point where I can install my clutch system. Here is a master-cylinder I am looking at purchasing from EBay.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tchlink:top:en.

Anyone using this setup? Can you post pictures? If not, what are you using, and can you post pics.

Thanks,

Within a couple weeks I should have my brake booster bracket with the hydraulic clutch conversion for the '67-'72's done. It will be basically the same as what I currently make for the '60-'62's. There is a link to the for sale thread in my sig line.

The actual part number of the MC was listed in a preceding article.

"To actuate the hydraulic throwout bearing on our Tremec, we’ll be using a Wilwood ¾-inch bore master cylinder (260-10282) coupled with their new billet reservoir (260- 12696)."

Great article! I really like the looks of the Wilwood MC. My rear disk brakes are Wilwood and I'm really happy with their quality. Thanks for sharing. I am going to do some research on price/availability.

I don't mind cheap. Are you happy with the quality? How long have you been using it for? Can you post pics?

Thanks

Please post pics when you get your bracket installed. Welcome back!:metal: I remember those long deployments. I did Desert Storm in 1991.

I am going to do a T56 swap this winter. I was thinking of trying to use the factory master cylinder from a 98-02 Camaro. I am not sure yet if it would work, the hose might not be long enough and it mounts on a angle.

Has anybody ever tried this before? I hate to start something and have nothing but trouble.

Thanks, Joe

like you said, it mounts on that angle, which sucks.

i've been squirreling parts for my 6mt swap and i'm gonna run with a tilton 7/8" mc

Any updates on some installs ? I really like the wilwood in the first post but seems kinda pricey.

I decided since I had to pull the body off to do my suspension install that I would go ahead and clean the frame up. I'm about to start putting everything back together. So in the next few weeks I hope to have installed pics

I ended up finding a master cylinder at an off-road shop here in Vegas. It's made by JAMAR and was $100. I liked that it's all aluminum and black (no plastic). It should look good in my engine compartment:metal:

That looks nice. Do you have a part number for it ? Hard to tell in the picture how you are mounting it to the firewall. I'm assuming your not running a booster.

When I get home I will check my receipt for part #. I'm using this master cylinder for my clutch so no booster.

Sorry. I'm on the hunt for a brake master and just got confused.
