location?
I have had a couple of quadrajets rebuilt here over the past 25 years with good results.. being in socal, I'm sure they can set you up right https://jetchip.com/contact/ ask for Johnnie :) his work is published in several articles and they catalog carbs outright at summit, jegs, etc. good luck! |

Quadrajet Power LLC would be my go to https://quadrajetpower.com/
I had mine rebuilt by them but they will either build one for you or may already have one ready for your application. |

Re: Quadrajet gettin' place, '81 k20
Ill have to call that Texas place, https://quadrajetpower.com/ tomorrow
They show the biggest selection... My truck is a 81 k20 , but the engine manufacture date on the air filter housing is 1980 . My has the air choke..... which impossible to adjust so is works . It only works in below 40 or less weather Do the electric chokes work properly...?.... looks like it can be converted to 'lectric |

Re: Quadrajet gettin' place, '81 k20
I had to pass emmisions in CO a few years back and it was such a hassle. I took truck to a mechanic who barely looked at it and said rebuild carb. I said I did and he said I didnt do it right.......really you barely looked at it. I left there and never looked back. I bought a rebuilt carb from Rockauto and it failed emissions test worse then old carb I rebuilt, sent back to RA. I fooled around with old carb adjusting idle mixture screws using vacuum and tachometer, truck still failed. I was about to give up and send my carb in to be rebuilt to a professional. I am not knocking the professionals but for a stock 350 q-jet the 400-500 (that is on the low side of cost) was just to much for me to spend. Lucky for me I found the Restoring Rusty post and how he added a O2 sensor to dial in carb. Well I bought a AEM O2 wideband sensor for 180 from ebay. I had to pay another 30 for muffler shop to weld in O2 bung, so about 200 bucks total. The best investment I made in getting truck to pass emissions with my rebuilt carb. It took a little trial and error adjusting idle mixture screws but finally got air fuel to around 14:1 at idle and passed emissions.

I ordered an Autoline Carburetor from Rockauto for my 71' Monte Carlo, worked perfect. You can buy them almost anywhere, Autozone, Amazon, Ebay Etc. They guaranteed date code for application too.

Emissions requirements on a 40 year old truck. That sounds horrible. Wish you didn't have to deal with that.
