Removing Jimmy Emblem.

Any tricks to removing the emblems without having to unbolt outer/inner fenders? Thanks

I'll jump in here since you haven't received any responses yet. Having just put my front clip back together, I really can't see any way you could do that without at least removing the inner fender. Even then it would take a lot of flexibility and patience.

Appreciate the feedback.

Do you happen to know if the reproduced Jimmy emblems are plastic or metal?

I’ve done it with the inner fender in. Not easy but doable.

Unbolt the lower fender?

I don’t think I did. You have to use a small wrench and basically lay across the fender. If I did it again the inner fenders would come out. It’s a pain.

Mine is a Blazer, so I can't say for sure, but the ones I got are nice, heavy metal.

I have done it from underneath the rear edge of the fender. You will need patience, and a longer 3/8ths ratchet wrench, and long arms.

Thanks, Mark at motorcityk5 said the same, but couldn't confirm on the Jimmy ones.

Thanks! And allot of cuss words I suspect:) If I can confirm that the reproduced ones are metal, I'll probably just cut the studs on mine. They need to be repainted anyway.

Don't cut the originals if you can help it.

I have yet to see, or have a reproduction item as good as the originals.

Point well taken. It would be headed for paint for a few months so have time to decide.
