Add a lil bling with some lights

I've got a new sound system ordered for my Blazer & trying to do a little wiring pre-planning during the wait on it to arrive.
I'm gonna put the amp under the console (on a custom made stand so it will get plenty of air) and want to put a neon light there too. Can I wire this light to the power input on the amp or is that a big no-no?

I wouldn't suggest it, depending on the output of your amplifier. Your gonna be using probably 4 gauge wiring for the power line on the amp. While the wiring for the neon/LED tube will only be like 14 gauge.

I would suggest a separate switched connection for the neon lighting. That way you can turn it on when you want to, instead of it always turning on when you turn your stereo system on.

I'm with Classic69 on this one. Wire it in a a switch like with the dome light or something like that. There's alot of times where you won't want the light to be on...
