How many miles on your conversion

How many miles are on your conversions and what issues have came up?

I have a little over 20k on mine now and I had a couple of issues pop up.
- On one of its maiden voyages, my batteries died....turned out the voltage regulator had came unplugged.
- I rebuilt the transfer case shortly after I started driving it. The transfer case oil pump had a lot of silicone grindings stuck to the screen. I should have got a new pump, but I didn't and just cleaned off the screen and went on and rebuilt the TC. A few months later a few roller bearings and shift fork began to eat themselves. By this point it was my only ride, so I just bought a whole new TC.
- I lost 5th gear. When I rebuilt the transmission I bought an upgraded shaft to prevent the 5th gear nut from coming off. Well the 5th gear nut didn't come off, but some how the snap ring that holds 5th gear on came off. Luckily I was able to make it home in 4th gear with no other damage. A few dollars for a new snap ring and about $100 for new oil and I was back in business.
- Had to replace a u-joint....no biggie.
- The worst one, which required a tow, was when my front panhard bar (aka trackbar) cracked the frame and was flexing side to side. I was only doing about 20mph when this happened and it shook side to side violently.

So for driving it for a year and a half: not terribly bad. With a conversion like mine I kind of expected a few hick ups along the way.

80,000 on mine, replaced a couple of U joints and a transfer case.
Not bad for 14 years.

The wife has over 5k on the Excursion and I haven't done anything to it since the ring and pinion. I need to fix the no power issue to the AC comp, but it's been going strong. My 95 F-350 I drove daily for 3yrs and put on over 120k on it. It's apart nor for a front end rebuild and a krylon over haul.

i just did my second oil change on mine . granted im doing them a little early at 5k as im trying to clean the eng up a bit as it was denied some love in its 1st life . i will step it up to 10k now . All i have really done is put in some new front leaf springs and tweak a bit of front end steering geometry . There is still plenty on the list tho. lol

The 12 valve that is in my 88 has been in there about 14 years and I have probably put about 70K to 80K on it.

2000 - I had to remove an inline fuel pump that was restricting fuel flow to the lift pump. It was one of those small square electric fuel pumps that the mechanic had put in to prime the system. I also had the injection pump and two injectors rebuilt.
2003 - water pump went out
2005 - slave cylinder on the clutch went out
2007 - replace the fan clutch
2008 - clutch master cylinder and connecting rod pushed through the firewall due to improper/poor installation when converted in 2000
2009 - fuel restriction in right fuel tank due to the factory gasoline electric fuel pump still in the tank. I had to remove the pump and extend the draw straw.
2011 - replace leaking head gasket the head gasket

I am very glad I had this thing converted. I just wish I had done it sooner.
