2005 Corvette LS2

1 Attachment(s)
2005 Corvette LS2 with 15k Miles. I bought this out of a friends 69 Chevelle that was wrecked only 700 miles after the swap. The wiring is a standalone harness modified by Speartech with a base tune ECU. It has hookups to run an auto. It will comes with the dbw Pedal which has been modified to be straight down instead of offset. It has a Kwik Performance alternator/power steering re-locating bracket to clear the steering box and I believe a CTSV pan. I can confirm this. I am only selling to buy an LSX 454.
Pretty much everything you need to get up a running.
Its a nice motor and I have been on the fence as it's a low mile engine and I knew the seller. He spared no expense on the swap.
Asking $6500.
Shipping can be arranged and I think domain is usually a good choice. I had a t56 shipped to me through FEDEX a few months ago.

Has the engine been "opened" Intake, oil pan heads?
How long has it been setting?
Which power steering pump does the engine have?
Is there a A/C pump and brackets?
Are there exhaust manifolds?

Re: 2005 Corvette LS2

No exhaust manifolds the rest is stock I believe. My friend didn't have air hooked up but the power steering was hooked up to the stock steering box. No manifolds it had headers. Yes it has an ac pump but in the stock position. It's been sitting about a year now but all openings have been covered by tape. Nothing has ever been removed I didn't see the point considering the low mileage. it ran good when pulled and the car was totaled in the rear so no engine damage.

What do you think shipping will cost to 85701?

Re: 2005 Corvette LS2

Is there a flywheel and pilot bearing or a flex plate on the engine?

Blazerowner 04-11-2015 05:07 PM

Re: 2005 Corvette LS2

No I have a t56 magnum and it came with a clutch so I didn't buy the flywheel when he sold it to me. I'll try to get a shipping quote as soon as I can.

Re: 2005 Corvette LS2

I ran a couple of quick quotes and I am unsure on the class. It says 150 on FedEx which gives me a quote of over 1000. Its 950 on old domain with that class. Seems rather high to me. I will call and try to get a more accurate quote. I would think 5 or 600 is what it should be.

Re: 2005 Corvette LS2

I did a little research and an engine should have a freight class of 85. Old Domain says 588 for that class and FedEx says 699. Sounds about right. I can get a pallet and build a crate around it to protect it.

Re: 2005 Corvette LS2

No problem. Thinking I might keep it since most people have lowballed me on it.

Just My opinion but if you really think about it you can purchase than ls3 with trans harness and computer, for less that what your asking for just the engine. So maybe the offer your getting aren't that bad.

Where are you looking for your LS 3 trans and computer?

Blazerowner 04-25-2015 03:50 AM

Re: 2005 Corvette LS2

You can't purchase an ls3 with trans controller harness and computer for less than I'm asking even used. The ls3 alone is around 6500 for the 430hp version with no harness. I have the trans harness and computer with it as well which is included. It's a good price considering what higher mileage engines are running on eBay. I'm not asking 6500 for just the engine. The stand alone harness, computer which is tuned by Speartech, pedal, and all the accessories are included. Easily a couple thousand in parts. The highest offer I have had is 3500 which is a joke. No real offer has been thrown out so it is what it is.

Re: 2005 Corvette LS2

Look them up on this site car-part.com. You can get a complete change over ls3 ,just like I said , harness computer, trans, accessories. And I can assure you if they have one and they are located near you, if you take cash they'll give you an even better deal, than what they have it listed for , money talks.

Re: 2005 Corvette LS2

There is no where out there selling all that for under 6500. Ls3s are on eBay for more than 6 with a harness and that's used. They run well above that with the tranny unless you're talking about a truck engine which is not the same engine. Furthermore, my engine is practically new when the engines I see have much higher mileage. How much is a rebuild and new parts? Even Ls1s with lower mileage are in the 4s and 5s. I'll keep my ad at that price if someone wants to have a clean ls2 for a good price then I will get it. If not I have plenty of projects to put it in. I understand if you don't like my price that's why you make an offer, but I think you are looking to bash rather than you are actually looking for an engine. If you can get an engine cheaper by all means buy it.
Here's my sources not hearsay.
