adhesive removal- dash

Looking for recommendations to get adhesive off of the dash, previous owner had a carpet mat on the dash and had it Velcro or glued on, dash is in good shape but has big strips of adhesive all over it. What can I safely use to get that off without ruining the dash?

I would consider Goo Gone, but looks like they recommend hard vinyl only.

It may affect the color.

Spray brake cleaner on a cloth, test in unseen area. If ok, wipe away..........

I used that to but on a small brush or nail brush work ok but in later year may cause cracking to the dash if it soak in to the pad to much.
I all so used cup hot water and plastic razer blade in the high heat direct sun light lots of elbow grease and what energy work out.

Have you had a chance to try out any of those products on your dash?

I’m in the same boat as you. Old glue all over the dash.
