it took 3 rods of silver solder to do this marker. i learned as i went...
the three rods were 27 bucks! need to get more, they come in packs of 3.

Looks like a very strong joint using sivler solder. Just curious why you decided to go this direction? Just an experiment? It seem like a mig or tig would be signifcantly cheaper and hard to keep the heat level down. I really like the way you made the lip on the edge to overlap the joint. Keep it up!
