Pull the distributor first. Make sure that little oil tube is disconnected next to the dizzy if you have a mechanical oil gauge. I think I did move the transmission x-member but that does make replacing the trans mount simple. With all the sheet metal gone, should come out pretty easy. I left the core support in place when I pulled my 350/TH350 combo out.
2nd the suggestion on the engine leveler.
