Question Special tool needed to remove pittman arm and idler arm?

I am about to start my front suspension and steering rebuild.

Do I need a special tool to remove the pitman arm from the steering box? and the idler arm?

Can I hammer and pry (carefully) these two pieces off or must I have some special tools?

What are some suggestions for coil spring compressors? I am working on a rolling chassis with no engine or drive train.

Thanks for your help and replies.

To take the coils out I put the frame on jackstands and take the lower ball joint nut off with a jack under the lca let the pressure off slow. You can rent a pitman arm puller from your local parts store.

will the pittman arm removal tool also install the new pittman arm? or does this call for another tool?

To install the Pitman arm, you use your impact to pull it on with the nut.
