Road Trip To Texas

Got back from a week in Texas, saw alot of our trucks. Seen at least a dz. of sharp show rides, saw one clean 69 dk green in Tenn. and a slammed red 71. Went down to Western Ky Parkway then down to Clarksville to 79 to Jackson then got on I-65 great drive. Once in Texas took 82W to Whitesboro where my b-i-law lives.I drove around and saw some sittin' everywhere. My other b-i-law in Granbury had a few sharp ones, one shop had two 70's for projects. The best thing I seen was a ranchhand fishin' at a pond with a blue 68 sittin' there, and a older lady drivin' a 69 pullin' a horse trailer. That makes a trip worthwhile. Two things I wish I had a camera and made the trip in mine!!!!!!! KY, TENN, ARK and TEX all the states have some of the best trucks I've seen , wish I could haved stayed and looked longer!!!!!!!!!

I know what your talking about. When I lived there in the Fort hood area, these things were a dime a dozen...and very little rust too.

We are very lucky having so many 67-72s but this is the truck capital. Every one owns a truck here ain't it great?

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

OK Scotti- I gotta ask...2.5 SWB? You only got half a truck somewhere? * Wait, I better check the garage to see if my 'half' is still where I left it.....*

Truck #2 is driven every day.
Truck #1 is in a couple of pieces(ok, more than a couple)in the garage undergoing the full frame-off treatment.
And .5 is the 67 gmc swb leaf frame/cab sitting on the trailer in the front driveway (pissing her off no doubt) to be used for parts/bartering.
