Okay. I've seen this swap many a time before but when I casually dropped in the seat I noticed it aligns at the front but it sits way too low. How do I bring it up? As it sits I feel like my truck seat positon makes me feel as if I"m in a 79 camaro.

the seat is out of a 89chevy.

My bench was junk so I tryed a differant bench seat (not sure what it was from) and it made me sit to far forward. I'm 6' and have a standard so having leg room is a must. If you find a bench that works can you post it here? Thanks

Adjust the seat so that the mounts sit behind the raised lip in the seat area. I didn't try using the original holes, I just drilled 4 new ones. I'm 5'10" and the mid 90's silverado bench I used fits great, even with the tank in the cab. Classic Truck or Custom Classic Truck did an article on different seats a couple months ago.

I just used a couple of nylon furniture shims to raise the front slightly.

i put an 89 bench in my k20.. i have a 4 speed in it, with the original 18" steering wheel. it has plenty of room. it did sit to low but i took some 1" square stock and made 4 small peices and drilled 4 new holes

i done this on the 69 and 72 used the front holes and drilled new rear holes and made a spacer for the rea to hold it up level.i didnt like how high the seat set so the metal frame that runs around the bottom we cut it in half and removed 2 inches and weldedit back.

IF YOU MAKE NEW HOLES USE SOME BIG WASHERS SO IN A CRASH THE BOLTS WONT RIP THRU FLOOR BOARD
