Where to buy new headlights for a 55 1st?

I'm having some trouble with this search. I can find new headlights for 47-53, but none for 54 or 55 1st Does anyone know where I can get them at? Thanks

Are you trying to stay with 6 volt or have you switched to 12 volt? I have never seen any distinction between years regarding headlights..

Well, when the truck gets put back together, I plan on going 12v. But, if there are no differences between the years, why do most companies only offer up to 53 and then it starts back at 55 2nd?

I am looking at my Chevy Duty catalog and they do not have any distinction between years...I know most trim and stuff changes in 54, but the headlights should be the same. I think if you go 12 volt, you can buy headlights at walmart...They should just be 7" round hi/low beams....

Really? That's comforting to know, because I saw some headlights in one of my parts books going for something like 80 bucks each!

You need to find some different parts books!!!

Chevy Duty- 6 volt: 11:95 ea./ 12 volt: 9.95 ea.

I see no reason why the headlights should be $80.....
