If it helps you out, I spent around $50 for just a chrome 205 shifter. I would say somewhere around $200 for everything. Don't know though. Trevor

it might be from a newer truck. I went to look at an '86 K30 for sale that had a chrome tranny and transfer shifter levers, and it was a base model truck.

If it came from a CST it would have chrome shifters. Cheyenne Supers did if they were 4x4, and also CST blazers had chrome shifters. So he could very possibly know his stuff about them coming from a CST. That was the highest of the high before the Cheyennes .... so???

did you read what I said? it "might" be from a newer truck. didn't say anything about it not being from a CST. the '86 was a custom deluxe, which was the base model..for '86.

sheesh...i'd make a visit to the optometrist soon, if I were you.

Did they have 205's in 86? Just curious.
205 with 4 speed and chrome shifters worth about $250-$300 probably.

1969 GMC... I wasn't directing that at you ... had no intention of that. Just was saying that the guy that said they came from a cst could be right, I wasn't saying you were wrong. You took it the wrong way, sorry for getting you worked up. I know sometimes it's hard to tell on the board if people are trying to get under your skin. Oh, and just for the record 20/15 sight.... which is better than 20/20. Sorry had to be smart ass. Have a good one bud. Trevor

Randy, the K30/V3500's used 205's up until '91.

damn, ask a simple question and attitudes come popping out everywhere. i found out they were out of a 74. and he wants 450 for the pair. i thought that was pretty high. but i guess if you need them its worth it. my brother is looking for a spare 205, if someone has one forsale, let me know. and lets leave the drama for daytime NBC.
