No More Anchor Needed

Well between the humidity, bugs, fireants, and choirs "The Truck is running" again. I guess I should say stopping again. Been a long time since I messed with drums and redoing hoses and wheel cylinders.

My retiure Navy neighbor was glad to have his anchor back. I definitely don't need to through it out to get the beast to stop. It is real nicce to feel more than one brake work now.

I don't know if I'll go the disk brake route anytime soon, but is their a junk yard fix to put power to my 70. I've been through most of the yards in my area and and 67-72's that I have found have been stripped raw (except for a 72 C30, but the guy wont let me "borrow" anything since that is his yard tow truck).

It's been a while sine I have done this, but I rememeber 15 years ago puttin the power booster from a camaro on my 55 Chevy.

Will something like that work here, and do you folks think it would actually help things with just the drums.

Well for now , it's green, ugly and slow....but it moves (and stops)!!

get the power booster off a 67-72 with the booster brackets, and pedal rod......... if you cant find one around you try the parts board, someone should be able to hook you up..... shouldnt cost more than 50
