Lower cost brake upgrades?

What lower cost options do I have for upgrading the brakes on an 82' chevy 1/2 ton swb 2wd? I've already swapped out the power brakes with a hydrobooster setup. Is there anything else I can do?

rear disc of course... it depends on how extreme you want to go... you could put 13" vented, drilled, slotted rotors at all 4 corners with 4 and 6 piston calipers, stainless steel lines, but i'm sure that would break the budget.

you can fabricate your own rear disc setup for realitively cheap... i did on my '75 project... used camaro rear disc calipers/rotors... had about $200 in it... worked out very well...

There was a Heavy Duty brake option that you might find on a junker...option code JD5 on my 85 I think.

Use pads from a 3/4ton with 13" brakes. They fit 1/2ton calipers the same and cover a little more of the rotor length wise. Have em on my 79 right now.
