Some questions...??

I have a 69 Straight 6 Motor

After letting my truck warm up you can hit the gas and it will bog down then rev. I have replaced the plugs, points and condensor. I also had the carb rebuilt. What else could it be. All the vacuums are hooked up. The truck hadn't ran in 21 years before I bought it. My friend lost my feeler gauge and we kinda guessed on the points opening. Do you think that could be the problem? Plug Wires? Something else?

Next Question:
I have a three speed on the tree, If I buy a kit to put it on the floor, will it work with a 350 that I want to put in it?

Next Question
I want to put a 350 in it. Will the Bellhousing on the 6 bolt up to the 350?

Next Question:
Is a power steering conversion pretty difficult? Does anyone have a step by step?

i would buy a set of feeler gagues and make sure that the points where right. when my carb went out i bought a rebuilt one with a 2 year warrenty. i exchanged it 4 times in that 2 years. i didnt have good luck with those single barrel carbs. have you tuned your carb???

the small blocks mount in a different spot that the I6s do so that will move the tranny. you can put the 350 in the I6 mounts but then it is closer to the firewall and makes those back two plugs and any dizzy work a PITA. i would wait to put a floor shift kit in till you know where the tranny is going to be placed. there are people on here that can help you adjust your 3 speed linkage if it isnt working right

on a 69? it is easy. box, pump and brackets. unbolt and rebolt. the hardest thing will be getting a hammer and smacking the colapsable shaft up alittle if you have all your sheet metal on still. oh yeah and if you plan on doing this while you still have the 6. it might take some lookin to find the brackets
