engine swap question

I have a 1970 model gmc ton with a straight 6 292 engine that my grandad gave me, and am trying to fix it up. My question is what parts do I need to bolt a 350 into the truck and use the factory four speed with granny first. I have the mounts and manifolds for the engine, but really wanted to know about the bellhousing and if I need to change it, and anything else I may have looked over like clutch linkages ect

It should bolt right up.

Thanks I put the engine up in parts forum, but if I can't find any takers I will try it and see, thanks a lot. I did a 6 to v8 swap in a 77 camaro with a turbo 350 and didn't change anything, but didn't know about the manual tranny.

If all you're doing is swapping the engine and they're both older model engines, I've had several people tell me it's a bolt-up job if you have the right mounts and the number of splines on the tranny are the same. You might mount to a diff't spot (the L6 and V8 engines use different mount points on the frame, I'm pretty sure). You can probably use the existing bellhousing. Hell, I just got a 4spd manual tranny from an '84 van or something and it bolts right up to my bellhousing for my 3spd saginaw tranny.
