whats the difference between frames?

on '73-'87 k5 blazers, what is the difference 2wd VS 4wd frames? will 2wd suspension bolt on to 4wd frame, and vise versa?

The actual frame rails are the same, everything else is different. Leaf perches in the back are longer (makes it taller), tranny/t-case crossmember is different, brake mouting holes are in a different location, engine crossmember is different....

I am assuming you are asking this because you are wanting to convert. While the search is up, might want to look for 2wd conversion or something like that. This has been discussed A WHOLE LOT!

There are some minor body mounting differences also when they went to the dropped floor in 78. A couple of the rear floor mounting points are different, although I can't remember which ones they are right off hand.

That would make everything simpler. But I would switch bodies instead.
