No Eric it did not have a headliner but I had to have one. It gets rid of the tin can sound inside. OK guys here are a few new ones of the truck, they ain't the greatest pictures though. I put a fresh 454 in it when I was home from work last time. It is bored 30 over, LS-6 style TRW forged pistons (10 to1 comp)has a steel crank, truck rods w/ ARP bolts. A nice little speed pro cam with only about 520 lift. 781 heads that I did a 3 angle valve job on (I have a valve grinding machine) I picked up a old Torker intake (the one where the carb sits crooked) at the swap meet as well as headers. I built a new exhaust system with aluminized mandrel bent elbows and tubing from JC Whitney and Summit turbos (I posted pics on your thread Eric). I have a old 850 double pumper on it. I found a decent set of the old factory chrome valve covers at the swap meet. It runs hard but is mild enough to run the AC in traffic. I built a fresh 400 turbo and I did a home brewed shift kit for it with the same mods B&M does to them on the direct clutch and stuff. It bangs pretty good. I got another tach dash at the swap meet and restored it and got it in. I had most of the bracket and pullys but thanks to HuggerCST (Wynne) I was able to get the right power steering setup and clamshell type motor mounts and the big block fan shroud and stuff. He has helped me a lot with the truck. I also have the correct 72 only upper alternator bracket on it. The big block is fun, I have not had one in several years and it brings back a lot of memories. It has brutal torque and will annihilate the rear tires in 1st and second gear....It's a blast. I bought the buckets and console form Frank (PIckMup) off here about a year ago.

Thanks Eric,
They are 245-60 15's on the front on 7" rims and 275-60 15's on the back on 8" rims. When I first did the drop and picked out the wheel tire combo was when Mike Clark the owner of Early Classic enterprises built that red and white 72 in Chevy truck magazine, about 97 or 98. I used the exact combo he used. If you go to the ECE web sight, check out "this old truck". That was the one I fell in love with. I patterned mine after his (wheels and all) and bought his kit and stuff to lower it.

Thanks for the kind words guys. Eric, Oberlin is not that far away, I bet you could drive it in about an hour and a half. I have lots of parts and parts trucks so come check it out sometime. we'll take a spin, there are several board members here in town and all have nice trucks.
Mike.

Dang Mike! You're making me Jealous with those pics. Would you guys believe that this is an unrestored truck? Hey Mike, why don't you bring it up when you come saturday & take me for a ride? That would be cool, but it would cost you a fortune in gas, (and would make me want a big block) so I'll take a raincheck. Man, I need to get to work on mine.

What did it take?

I was thinking about adding one to the 68. How hard was the project? What all did you have to do?

Thanks yall! Wynne I would bring it but 3 of us are coming and little brother would have to ride in the back( that's the only downside to having bucket seats). I doubt I could get Kevin (65Streetcruiser) to ride in the bed so I guess we will have to come in the Z-71. The gas mileage did go down with the Big Block though, but who cares when you're frying tires huh. There were a lot of board guys that helped make this thing happen, yall know who you are and I appreciate all you guys have done. One of these days maybe we can have a board meet "down south style", pop a few tops and shoot the bull about it. Thanks again for all the compliments.

Looks good and they do help deaden the sound in the cab. I wouldn't be without one.
