Well, I guess that proves that my truck does in fact have the factory bumper on it. I think my favorite add is the spray on vinyl one. Anyone ever seen a truck with one? Thanks JC!

Hahahahahahaha look at that huge box mounted on the bottom of that mirror...Must be a small electronic transfer case to move the mirror....Laffin MAO..I know it's a demo....But, electronics sure have come a long way. Bolt all of these accessories on and your truck would look at home in Tiajuana. Especially that camper shell......lmao

There's a gmc I always see running around town with the vinyl top. I always thought it was really strange untill I saw the dealer add on paper listed here.

I was at a junk yard today and inside a 68 C20, mounted under the dash, was one of those "Inter-Com Systems". I didn't know what it was for, until now. I wonder if it's worth pulling out? It looked complete, except no camper on the back......I don't think there is much of a call for one of those......

That ad for the JOHNSON messenger is pretty funny too....I like the drawing of the guy behind the wheel. I think he has been hanging at the rest stops a little too much..The way they used to word stuff back in the day was too funny ( equipped with built in speech compression)..Thanks for posting these....They're great!

One fool`s trash is everyone else`s treasure! What a fool! More interested in money than in the true value of such fine memora bilia. He could have given it to someone! But,NO,if I can`t sell it I`ll throw it out. That is so kewl,jc.Did you see him toss it?Or,did you just glimps a little corner peeking out as you walked by the can with an unmistakable fragment of a 67-72 GM truck shining through the garbage?I never knew those mirrors were dealer accy.I thought they were just cheapo add-ons(still don`t like them, lol). My Sierra has the swing-out spare. It`s funny, isn`t that a`70 book?I`ve always seen that step bumper on`72s and the c-channel type on all earlier ones.

i had baught some stuff off the guy who left it behind on saturday.
a set of nos rockers and a mint driversside fender. ,, i had looked through the books he had on a table for sale i had baught every thing that looked interesting, a 67-70 gmc red dealerparts book binder and all , a service bulletin book same year , a 2 inch thick book showing a complete tear down of all the transmissions available all for $10

that s all that i noticed in the lituratre on saturday. when i walked passed him on sunday he was paking it in i came back after he left and went through the book again and found stuff i didnt notice the first time i looked.
the accessories book, some parts #s updATs and more service bulletins
a log from a dealership listing all gmc trucks sold there in the 70s and who they where sold to. another big book that was full of dealer updatessuch as changes in avalibilaty and deleverie costs this book i have not gone through well yet it will take a while and my time is limeted to do so latey.

in january i will be back on the night shift and i will have plenty of time to go through it and post some more neat facts

i walked the skin right off my feet at that swap meet for 3 days , it was worth it!!

the guy i got this stuff from had just done a clean out of a storage space
and was just there to camp out and have a good time he didnt know what anything fit!!

Very interesting. Still hard to believe he just tossed this stuff. That was one ugly camper shell GM had. Back in the 70's was the heyday for the cb radio and guess GM decided to jump on the band wagon. Almost everone had one back then. I know I to had one. Neet stuff. Thanks for sharing.
