Yep. I just drilled a couple extra holes, and used grade 8 mounting hardware. Find some thick fender washers to brace up teh floor around your new holes as well. I put 98 extended cab seats in my 77, and I have a 60/40 bench for the 78.

Jonboy, does your extended cab passenger seat slide towards the dash with the lever on the seat back? That is really what I was looking for, but got a good deal on these with the console and my drivers seat is power. Also did you use the frames and tracks from the newer seats? thanks jesse

N2TRUX made new mounts for his so he could use the existing mounting points for the new seat. BTW, the extended cabs made before '99 I believe (those without 4th door) will slide forward. That is what Ken (N2TRUX) used.

It was simular to what I did on mine to put the '90 seats in my '78. Links are basically in order of what I did... I made a template for it now so I can cut them out.

The drivers side in mine is power also. I don't remember if the passengers side flips forward or not. I chucked the rear seat in my 77 as it stuck way up above the top of the quarters. I used the newer seat tracks. I got mine cheap too, so I used what was there. I was kind of undecided between the split bench and the buckets, so I have both.

That's partially correct Chris. The seats (and brackets) I have are actually 95 GM truck only. The 94's had 88-94 style seats and brackets. The seats changed along with the dash in 95 and they went to a "flip and fold" bracket on the passenger side. In 96 the extra cabs went to the third door so the seat brackets were fixed, and power was available.....

You did good. Heck I was surprised I even remebered all that. Besides you did a much better job of making the brackets...

Why thank you! BTW, tried to call you the other night and couldn't get you. Just wanted to chat a while. Nothing important. Just making sure you aren't ignoring me.
