Need a Steering Wheel

Hi All
Im looking for a new steering whell for my 69 with a van tilt column. I had a grant but the offset was too much with the wheel sticking out too far. What have you done as far as a wheel and do you like it?
Thanks
Chris

IMO you should stay with a GM wheel. The 67-72 is a 17" wheel which is just a tick big for me. I installed a reproduction wheel for a '69 Camaro with the optional "comfort grip" wheel. This is like a 16" wheel. It came from the Muscle Factory. Get an installation kit for a 67-68 Camaro and the total should be ~$150. Another option is the boneyard where a 72-81 Camaro 4 spoke wheel (also Vega/Monza) can be had for about $25 and is a 15" wheel. If you want newer/larger, the 88-94 truck wheel is pretty nice and easy to find with either GMC or Chevy horn cap. Read the posts concerning the Grant wheels and their horn problems and you will see why this makes sense.

Wink

Colapse the column. That's what I did, a full 5", I like to stretch my arms, and be able to have a soda between your legs without hitting the wheel.
