been looking for this combo for quite a while, finally found one within 10 miles, of me, any recomndations on seals to chenge in the tranny before i put it in? thanks also, what do yall think of the after market floor shifters in our trucks, which is bteer? van tilt column, or floor b&m???

The rear oil seal for the Th350 is in the adapter. NOW is the time to pull the adapter out, inspect for cracks, and replace the seals. Take the "drive sleeve" out of the adapter and inspect it closely. If it looks worn on the inside or has lines on the outside from the seals pop for a new one NOW. Send the Th350 to a rebuilder and have it freshened up NOW. After you install these heavy little items you'll understand why you won't want to do it again.

The 205 is probably fine as is. Pressure wash it so it looks pretty and install it.

I would rather have a van tilt. I personally think after market floor shifters suck.

I would agree about getting the seals and tranny done. Also check your tranny to t-case adapter, some have bearings, around that drive sleeve, others just have a sleeve and seals. If you have the one without bearings, replace the sleeve and save some headaches. It's about $150 from a GM dealer. Or try to get a bearing type adapter.
It's wierd I have 2 72 Blazers, both 350/350/205 and one of each style adapter.
