Lighted mirror option???

I have never heard of such a thing on any of our trucks. It looks like a correct 68-71? mirror otherwise.

Three of my Buicks have that very mirror, but I have never seen any reference to their being installed in trucks. I suspect somebody in the past had swapped that mirror into the truck the seller parted out.
My truck assembly manual doesn't say anything about a maplight mirror.

Chevy cars had this option. My '69 Chevelle has it and with mine, it was part of a lighting package that included; under hood light, trunk light, courtesy lights and of course, the "map light mirror". It may have been offered seperately too but im not sure.

I never saw one in a truck though.

I hope whoever bought it didn't spend 90+ dollars thinking he got a rare factory option for his truck. It might be kind of cool on a truck though. How would you get a wire to it??

They normally sell for $40-50 for a good one. I sold quite a few for this price in the past. The 69-71 has a stainless steel back and the 72 has a black plastic back. On the cars, a wire runs under the windshield trim and down the pillar cover into the top of the dash. It has a plug on it and simply plugs into the existing harness.
