Went to see my Blazer in California!!

Hey guys, I went to see my 72" blazer in California. I been keeping it at my uncles house for 2 yrs because the engine went down, and theres no space here in Vegas to store it. My dad bought that Blazer almost new in 1976, and gave it to me when I turned 18 yrs old. Now, im planning to put a brand new 350 engine, edelbrock carburator, and manifold. As you can see, it looks like crap. But its just dirty from sitting there too much. We inspect it closely and theres not much rust in it. After im done with the mechanical stuff, im taking it to good body shop in L.A. to clean it up and repaint it med olive. Well, theres not much pics right now, but will take more soon when i pick it up next week in my new 06 Tundra Truck. Luis.

Re: Went to see my Blazer in California!!

just a note that if it has the original engine in it, save it when you install new engine.

Re: Went to see my Blazer in California!!

Get those pine needles off of cowl area. Pine needles kill!! I have seen several trucks get these needles or other leafy stuff down inside cowl area and packed into vents in firewall and kickpanel area and get serious rot/rust. Sometimes you can open vents on inside kick panel areas and reach in and pull handfuls of this crud out.

Blazer looks like great rebuild candidate. Enjoy.

If either of mine looked that good, you wouldn't be able to wipe the grin off my face with a dirty diaper.
