new guy from holland!!!

hello im from holland and i am 20 i have just bought my first u.s.car it`s a `71 GMC longbed and its probably the only one in Holland so it`s really special to owne one over here.
It`s a 350 with a 4 speed and it came just a couple of month`s ago from Arizona and i am the first owner in Holland.
The only problem is the mileage because we pay almost 5xyor prices for fuel
so i have to rebuild the engine to let it run on lpg because this project car is also my daily driver, I hope you guys like to see that these cars also have fans in Holland..

Re: new guy from holland!!!

Welcome from Houston Texas. I know a couple of guys over there. One has an old caddy that he has a hard time getting parts for it. Good luck on the LPG conversion. We may be doing it to in the near future. Some of the city trucks run on it.

Re: new guy from holland!!!

i`m not gonna do the lpg conversion anymore because i have bought a cheap ford escort for daily use(its a ford, but its cheap..) and now i`m planning some performance for the engine because i dont have to use it every day anymore that is a much much better plan i think..

we use propane a lot for fuel here in holland cause it a 3th of the price of gasoline , its a verry dry fuel though the lack of lubrication and cooling from this fuel causes the valves to burn and the valveseats to wear faster .
i got a vialle gasinjectionsystem run from a piggyback controller in my opel , it runs havoc on the stock computer at times, if you do the conversion be sure to use hardened seats and stronger valves , if you have unleaded fuel type heads you'll be ok
